Your retreat · 7–13 February 2027
The practical details
7–13 February 2027 · Seven days / six nights · Cape Agulhas, South Africa. Conscious breathwork, singing-bowl sound journeys, mindfulness, creativity, restoration and wild coastal discovery in a small circle of women. Hosted in English. There will be morning and afternoon sessions, some shorter evenings, lighter time and excursions. All experiences are invitations: rest, walk or enjoy a quiet cup of tea when you need to.
Accommodation
Our main retreat home is Driftwood in Struisbaai, with nearby partner villas creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for everyone.
Retreat experiences
Conscious breathwork, singing-bowl sound journeys, guided meditation and yoga; deeper workshops exploring awareness, breath, your own voice and authentic expression; flower crowns, handcrafted keepsakes, symbolic stone release, a planned beach photography experience and time to rewild in nature.
Meals & ease
Our retreat includes self-serve continental breakfasts, professionally catered lunches and relaxed shared dinners, with snacks, tea and coffee throughout the week. Vegetarian meals are provided, and some other dietary requirements may be possible by prior arrangement. As food is prepared in a shared kitchen, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or safely cater for severe food allergies.
One lunch during the excursion day is not included; guests choose and pay for that meal directly. Airport transfers are also charged separately. Final inclusions will be confirmed before booking.
Flights and airport transfers are separate from the retreat fee. We plan one coordinated arrival pickup and one departure transfer from Cape Town; precise times and costs will be confirmed.
A different side of South Africa
At the end of a continent, the world feels wonderfully wide.
Our retreat is based in Struisbaai, in the Overberg region of South Africa's Western Cape, near Cape Agulhas — the southernmost point of the African continent and the geographical meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
Think sweeping sandy shoreline, a working fishing harbour, low rocky coastline, indigenous fynbos, shipwreck stories and the historic Agulhas lighthouse. It's the sort of place where the sea and sky have room to breathe.
A little summer sunshine in your winter.
February is high summer here: bright light, open skies and long days for discovery. The Cape has its wild side too — fresh breezes and famously changeable weather are part of its character. We follow the conditions, rather than promise tropical calm.

Travel with confidence
Far from familiar. Thoughtfully organised.
We know that a first trip to South Africa can raise questions, especially if you are travelling on your own. We want you to feel warmly welcomed and confident exploring somewhere new.
We are planning one coordinated Cape Town airport collection and departure transfer, local transport for scheduled outings and clear pre-arrival guidance. You'll have a named host contact, accommodation details and the transfer plan before you travel.
We plan a single coordinated pick-up from Cape Town International Airport and one return journey at set times. The airport transfers are charged separately, currently estimated at R500 per person each way (R1,000 return), subject to final transport quotes and confirmation. You are also welcome to hire your own car or arrange independent travel. We will share final times, costs and meeting details before booking.

Questions you may have
Do I need previous breathwork experience?
Not at all. We welcome newcomers and experienced breathers alike. We’ll share a confidential suitability questionnaire and help you prepare for the sessions.
What does the retreat price include?
The prices on our Your Stay page cover six nights’ accommodation, guided retreat experiences and professionally catered meals, snacks, tea and coffee. Flights, airport transfers and one excursion-day lunch is separate.
How will the deposit and balance work?
We’re offering payment in full or instalments based on when you book. November bookings begin with a 30% deposit, with further instalments in December and January; December bookings can pay 30% on acceptance and the balance in January. January bookings are payable in full on acceptance.
What is a women’s rewilding retreat?
Rewilding invites us to reconnect with nature and the freer, playful parts of ourselves. Our Cape Agulhas retreat combines conscious breathwork, mindful reflection, creativity, sisterhood and experiences along South Africa’s wild southern coast.
Is this women’s breathwork retreat suitable for a new chapter of life?
Yes. Some guests are navigating midlife transitions, including empty-nest changes or shifts in work, relationships and identity. Others simply seek rest, inspiration or adventure. Our seven-day experience welcomes all three motivations, and you do not need prior breathwork experience.
Will I need to pose for photographs?
We plan an optional celebratory beach portrait experience towards the end of the week. Creative self-expression and gentle preparation unfold beforehand, with choice and personal comfort at the heart of the experience. Portraits are intended as a meaningful personal reminder, not a test of confidence. Photo permissions are discussed separately.
Can I join on my own or bring a friend?
Both are wonderful. Join solo or come with a friend, sister, mother or adult daughter. Ask about available room arrangements before booking.
Can we talk privately about accessibility, health or participation?
Of course. We’re happy to discuss mobility, wellbeing or any questions about breathwork privately, so you can decide whether the week feels right for you.
Can I hire my own car?
Yes, hiring a car and travelling independently is an option. We also plan one separately charged coordinated airport transfer from Cape Town; final details will be confirmed before booking.
Can I enquire before applications open?
Yes. You can email us with questions about the retreat, your room preference or practical considerations. There is no payment due or obligation to book simply for making an enquiry.
Is the optional South Africa extension included?
No. We are exploring a separate four- to five-day excursion with a local operator after the retreat. Its itinerary and rand price will be set by that operator, and guests would book and pay them directly. There is no obligation to join.
Is it safe to travel to South Africa on my own?
Many of our guests will be travelling independently. We plan a coordinated Cape Town airport transfer window, transport for group excursions and clear guidance before arrival. We’re happy to talk through any travel questions with you.
Will the retreat be in English?
Yes, the retreat is facilitated in English. We hope to provide selected translated information to help international guests make an informed decision.
Where is Struisbaai, and how do I get there?
Struisbaai is a coastal town in the Western Cape, near Africa's southernmost point at Cape Agulhas. Most international guests will fly into Cape Town, then continue by road. We plan a single coordinated airport transfer window, charged separately, with a journey of roughly three hours. Final transfer times, route and travel guidance will be confirmed before booking.
